Haydock 3.00 – Blingy’s Sister

Blingy’s Sister made the long journey to Southern France last month, and she’s come out of that experience particularly well, she’s been eating well and she looks fantastic.  The race at Mont de Marsan was a Listed race, so she got the all-important black type finishing second, and although this looks a stronger Listed contest, I’m hopeful she can run well, she should like the ground, so fingers-crossed it can go well for her.

Newmarket 3.05 – Rubyroo

First time on a racecourse for this nicely bred filly owned by Amo Racing.  This is a valuable Newmarket maiden so is bound to be quite strong, but she’s a filly we like and her work has been pleasing, so it looks a good starting point.

Haydock 4.40 - Triple Double A

Triple Double A has had a wind-op, which I hope will make some difference, and we’ve booked Harry Vigors, who claims five pounds, to ride, but he will need to step forward on what he’s shown us so far this season.

Haydock 5.10 – Home Hero & Phantom Watch

Home Hero ran at Newmarket on Thursday afternoon, so we will make the decision on whether he makes a quick reappearance or not when we know how he comes out of that race.

Phantom Watch was Gemma Owen’s mount in the Magnolia Cup charity race at Goodwood last week, he ran well for her, and this looks a good opportunity to get him back out over a trip he’s won at previously.

Saratoga Derby 10.52 – Glacius

It’s very exciting to have a runner in the Grade 1 Saratoga Derby, and I think Glacius goes there with a chance.  We looked at a couple of options closer to home, the York Stakes was nearer a Group 1 in class than Group 2, and the Guillaume d’Ornano at Deauville used to be worth a lot more prize money than it is now, so once we were fortunate enough to get the invite to Saratoga, we were very keen to travel.

We’ve got a nice middle draw in stall 6, the ground should be OK for him, and we have a good jockey booked in Luis Saez.  Title Roll looks as if he’ll be favourite following his Belmont Derby win at the track, but we’re only rated 2 pounds lower than him, so this looks like the right race for him.

He’s travelled out there well, taken it all in his stride, and I’m really looking forward to seeing him when I arrive at the track, and also really looking forward to having my first runner in this race.
