Goodwood - 4.10 – Seagulls Eleven

Oisin Murphy also rides Seagulls Eleven in the feature Sussex Stakes, and he gets on brilliantly with him.

They are drawn in stall 12 of 12, which isn’t ideal, and we also weren’t expecting such a big field, this race historically attracts a small field but this year everything has turned up.

The market principals are all drawn low, but it might get a bit crowded on the rail, and those runners caught in behind could find traffic problems with 12 runners, so it will be interesting to see how the race unfolds.

Our horse needs to produce yet another career best performance, and by quite a long way, but he’s run career bests after career bests so far this season, and I don’t think he’s done yet. 

Obviously this is a very, very deep Sussex field, but I hope he can go there and run really well.  The draw is a bore, but hopefully he can jump well and get a good early position.
