After two of the greatest comebacks in the history of the Champions League, our traders have revealed that Tottenham’s achievement was less likely than Liverpool’s.

With Spurs 2-0 down during their semi-final second leg with Ajax, they were as big as 20/1 to turn the tie around and make it to the Champions League final in Madrid.

In contrast, the biggest price for Liverpool to reach the final was 14/1, after the game had kicked-off and was still goalless.

“Although both comebacks were extraordinary in their own way, our odds suggest Tottenham’s was the biggest given their in-running odds to make it through to the final,” said Coral’s John Hill.

On top of this, our traders have revealed that a Lucas Moura hat-trick had been backed by seven Coral customers. With the Brazilian at 100/1 to score three goals, the largest stake was £10 which resulted in a £1010 payout.

Liverpool are odds-on favourites to lift the trophy at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid on 1st June at 8/15, with the Reds at 9/1 to complete a Premier League and Champions League double.
