How many goalscorers from the previous 28 campaigns can you remember?

The new Premier League season is fast approaching, with recently promoted Fulham hosting Arsenal at Craven Cottage in this year’s opener.

We’ve been treated to some high-scoring thrillers across the last 28 seasons, with only one opening fixture goalless draw in Premier League history.

That came in the 2002/03 season with Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland sharing the spoils at Ewood Park.

The 1995/96 season featured three opening goalscorers with frantic fifth minute action in three fixtures, plus a couple of matches have been opened by an own goal.

Since the 1992/93 season, we’re yet to see a repeat opening goalscorer. There are 30 players to name, how many can you remember?
