Premier League team of matchweek 33: Vicious Vardy and cracking Carroll

Long-standing Swansea skipper Williams had a terrific game as he helped shut out Chelsea on the way to the Swans inflicting the first Premier League defeat during Guus Hiddink’s second spell at the club.

Left back: Jose Holebas (Watford)

Greece defender Holebas may not have been a regular for Watford this term, but his headed goal saw his team draw with Everton to edge closer to the 40-point mark.

Right wing: Divock Origi (Liverpool)

The Belgian may only have come on at half-time to replace Oluwaseyi Ojo, but his brace helped the Reds to a 4-1 thrashing of Stoke City.

Centre midfield: N’Golo Kante (Leicester City)

Leicester’s ever-present was everywhere once again for the title-chasing Foxes, as his energy and determination earned himself the Man of the Match award and his side three crucial points as well.

Centre midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea City)

Sigurdsson has been a revelation for Swansea for most of the season, and surely he’ll be snapped up by a more high profile club in the summer again. His goal was the only one of the game against Chelsea.

Left wing: Alex Iwobi (Arsenal)

Arsenal teenager Iwobi continues to shine, and the Nigeria international set up two for the Gunners in the thrilling 3-3 draw at West Ham United.

Striker: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

Vardy became the first Foxes striker since Gary Lineker to score over 20 top-flight goals in a season after his match-winning brace against Sunderland, and surely now the title is Leicester’s?

Striker: Andy Carroll (West Ham United)

While Vardy bagged a brace, Carroll went one better by hitting a hat-trick against Arsenal, to push claims for an England recall ahead of Euro 2016.
