Premier League team of matchweek 13: Llorente late goals and super Sanchez

Doing great work at both ends of the pitch plus popping up with the winner just after the break, a neat finish which cracked off the inside of the post, earned Moses a standing ovation – and we agree the improved wingman deserves plaudits for his revival. So, he can slot into attacking full back position in our XI.

Centre back: Gareth McAuley (West Bromwich Albion)

As the only defender to so far net three times in the PL this term, McAuley gets a slot in our XI for his efforts at both ends of the pitch.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton)

The Dutch defender kept Romelu Lukaku and co in his pocket, as Everton stuttered in attack. Van Dijk’s partner Jose Fonte also deserves credit for Saints’ clean sheet, but it is no wonder that his peer is being linked with bigger clubs.

Left back: James Milner (Liverpool)

Hull’s burgeoning full back talent Josh Tymon also deserves a shout out too, with the young-gun’s impressive outing coming as the Tigers salvaged a point against West Brom.

Central midfield: Jordan Henderson (Liverpool)

Performances like this will only add to calls for him to be England captain…

Central midfield: Leroy Fer (Swansea City)

The 26-year-old dispatched twice after the break, bullishly following up on rebounds and loose balls to get his side the goals. The Swans will need more of this to stay up.

Central attacking midfield: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)

Oh, and his strike was a stunner too.

Centre forward: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The Chile attacking catalyst bookended the Bournemouth battle with early and late goals so make sure the Gunners grabbed the spoils.

Centre forward: Fernando Llorente (Swansea City)

Seven of the nine goals in the game with Palace occurred in the second-half, but it was Llorente who bagged the vital winner with a poacher’s finish and also had a hand in one of Fer’s goals too. Is it time for the Swans and Llorente to both turn their season around?

Centre forward: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Being in the right place at the right time can count for a lot, especially in a title race, and Aguero fired two opportunistic efforts in with aplomb.

Alvaro Negredo also gets a nod for his deadly double against Leicester City for Middlesbrough, though his goals could only ensure a draw.
