The bottom two meet in the Premier League in a vital game for both teams and we have studied the odds to pick out some Newcastle v Norwich betting tips.
Eddie Howe will be in the Newcastle dugout for the first time and this looks a good opportunity to get a much-needed first win but Norwich have improved under Dean Smith.
Tuesday’s match at St James’ Park kicks off at 7.30pm and is live on Amazon Prime.
Newcastle are still without a Premier League victory after 13 matches of the season yet are priced up as odds-on favourites at 19/20 to break their duck.
They certainly carried more of an attacking threat in their previous home game – which Howe was forced to miss due to a positive Covid-19 test – but struggled defensively in a 3-3 draw with Brentford.
Howe was on the touchline on Saturday but could not turn the tide as Newcastle slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.
Norwich have enjoyed a new manager bounce at least, with the 2-1 win over Southampton followed by a 0-0 draw with Wolves in which the Canaries were the better team.
Backing both teams to score has paid out in five of Newcastle’s six home matches and with both teams believing this is a fixture they can win, goals at both ends is worth considering at 7/10.

There are usually plenty of goals when these teams meet, though, with at least four goals in the previous five meetings including a 6-2 win for Newcastle in 2015 and a 4-3 victory in 2016.
Norwich have attacked and defended with a renewed intensity since Smith took over and key to that has been Billy Gilmour, who was strangely out of favour under previous boss Daniel Farke.
Gilmour will be vital if Norwich are to dominate in midfield, especially with Mathias Normann out injured, but they will need to be more clinical.
The Canaries have only managed seven goals this season and Teemu Pukki wasted chances to earn victory over Wolves, with the Finland international 9/2 to make amends with the first goal here.
