The Red Devils regained the advantage in the race for fourth place in midweek and they look to build up some momentum in West Yorkshire this weekend as we pick out some Leeds v Manchester United betting tips.
Ralf Rangnick’s men took full advantage of Lewis Dunk’s red card when two second-half strikes helped them overcome Brighton on Tuesday night and they now visit a Leeds side in real danger of being dragged into the relegation battle.
Manchester United are a shade of odds-on as the 10/11 favourites for this Premier League clash, while Leeds can be backed at 29/10.
Sunday’s match at Elland Road kicks off at 2pm and is live on Sky Sports.
Elland Road will embrace its first Leeds v Manchester United top-fight game in front of fans in over 18 years and Marco Bielsa will be desperate to give the Whites faithful something to cheer about following a testing second season in the top division.
Injuries have plagued Bielsa’s squad and they have failed to hit the heady heights of their first season back in the Premier League, where they finished ninth and star midfielder Kalvin Phillips became an England regular.
Phillips has made only 12 appearances this term and the absence of the England midfielder, along with Patrick Bamford’s injury woes, has hurt the Whites. Bamford scored 17 times last season and played himself into international contention, but has not figured since December and has featured in just six games this term.
With that duo out of action, it is Raphinha who has stepped up to the plate to become Leeds’ talisman this season and he has hit eight goals so far this term.
Daniel James has scored four times since his switch from Old Trafford and he can be backed at 14/5 to haunt his former club with a goal at any time.

It has been a frustrating time for Manchester United with the initial excitement surrounding the appointment of Rangnick quickly descending into dressing room leaks about nicknames for the coaching staff and disjointed performances on the pitch.
However, following three successive 1-1 draws, United got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night, a victory that took them up to fourth in the Premier League table.
Although not hitting the high standards many of the Old Trafford faithful would expect of late, United are unbeaten (in 90 minutes) in their last eight and haven’t lost away from home since November.

Manchester United have dominated this fixture in recent years. They won 5-1 in the reverse match-up at Old Trafford earlier this season, while they won 6-2 on home soil last season. Another high-scoring game with over 5.5 goals is 15/2 in Leeds v Manchester United betting tips.
Leeds’ last victory over United came via a 1-0 win in the FA Cup at Old Trafford in 2010, while that was the same scoreline when the Whites last won against their rivals from across the Pennines at Elland Road, with a Harry Kewell strike giving Leeds all three points in the 2002-03 Premier League season. A 1-0 win for the hosts can be backed at 14/1 this time.

Leeds have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven home games, which brings both teams to score into calculations at 8/15 in Leeds v Manchester United betting tips, while the Whites have performed poorly at home against the current top seven this season, conceding an average of 2.5 goals per game in the four games played.
