Manchester United have a chance to go top of the Premier League table this weekend and we have examined the odds for some Man Utd v Aston Villa betting tips.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United side earned a massive win at West Ham last weekend, while Villa romped to a 3-0 victory over Everton.
Saturday’s match, which takes place at Old Trafford, kicks off at 3pm.
Manchester United were in some ways fortunate to pick up all three points at West Ham last week. Jesse Lingard’s late goal combined with a last-second David de Gea save from substitute Mark Noble’s penalty gave them a 2-1 win at the London Stadium.
It left them joint-top of the Premier League with 13 points from five games, although they have an inferior goal difference to Chelsea and Liverpool.
Solskjaer’s men put their unbeaten run on the line against Aston Villa and are 4/9 to win.
Since a goalless draw with Manchester City last December, United have scored in each of their last 15 Premier League games (44 goals in total).
They have also conceded in their last seven at Old Trafford and it is 9/5 that they win but concede to Villa.
The visitors have won two of their five games thus far but have lost both of their away games, at Watford and Chelsea, conceding three goals each time.
Dean Smith’s men bounced back from a 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge – where they played well – by romping to a 3-0 win over Everton.

United seem to like opponents in claret and blue. In Premier League history, no side has won more games against an opponent than Manchester United’s 37 victories against Aston Villa.
Smith’s men have picked up just one win in their last 45 Premier League games against the Red Devils (D11 L33) and are winless in their last 17 against them since a 1-0 success at Old Trafford in December 2009.
In fact, United have won 18 of their last 21 home league games against Aston Villa, failing to score on just one occasion in that run.
Villa have managed to score at least once in four of their last five visits to Old Trafford, however. It is 6/4 that they score at least once.
Since the start of February (when he joined West Ham on loan), only Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho (12) has scored more Premier League goals than Jesse Lingard (11).
Villa must also find a way of controlling both Bruno Fernandes – who has scored in all three games he has played against Villa – and Cristiano Ronaldo, who has notched four goals in three games since arriving from Juventus for a second spell at the club.
