Can Ferrari repeat their Baku pace in France?

There is no doubt the Ferraris were fast in Azerbaijan as Charles Leclerc topped qualifying and team-mate Carlos Sainz was the fifth quickest driver around the street circuit.

That qualifying pace did not translate to a place on the podium in Baku as Leclerc finished fourth and Sainz was eighth.

A home win for Leclerc in France would go down well with the majority of fans and he is 28/1 to do just that or 15/4 to be on the podium, with Sainz priced at 10/1 for a top-three finish.

More reasons to be cheerful for Ocon?

Frenchman Esteban Ocon had reason to celebrate ahead of his home race as he signed a new three-year deal with Alpine, the F1 team also based in France.

The 24-year-old has had a good start to his second season with the team and has, for the most part, put his more illustrious team-mate in the shade by largely getting the better of two-time world champion Fernando Alonso.

Ocon can be backed at 5/1 to celebrate with a top-six finish, with Alonso 4/1 in the same market but a return to the form during his time at Renault, where he won two world titles, looks unlikely.

Will Norris take his first win in France?

Lando Norris has been one of the most consistent performers this season and his form has been rewarded with fourth place in the current F1 World Championship standings.

But for the McLaren driver to take his first race win of the season would mean a special performance from the 21-year-old.

Norris could only finish ninth at the 2019 version of this race when Hamilton and team-mate Valtteri Bottas locked out the top two steps on the podium for Mercedes.

Norris is 25/1 to win at Paul Ricard this time around or 11/4 for a podium place, while Bottas is 8/1 to move up one place to the top step of the podium.
