Coral's Daily Racing Tips - Newcastle - December 11, 2025
Down to a tempting-looking mark after a midfield finish at Sedgefield last time, this Ben Haslam-trained gelding may have an opportunity to win here under a three-pound claimer.
An unlucky but encouraging run over course and distance in February gives confidence that he can build on this season’s two previous starts and win this under Sean Quinlan.
Making his handicap debut here, this Nicky Richards-trained six-year-old has won a point-to-point over this trip and could improve his form under Rules given the greater distance, which suits his pedigree.
Having not taken to fences, Byron Hill returns to hurdling five pounds lower than his last start over the smaller obstacles. He should be at a winnable mark for his in-form trainer and has five pounds in hand from his rider.
An improving seven-year-old, this son of Mahler has done well over fences so far, placing on both runs, and can build on that and go better today under Danny McMenamin.
Two pounds below his mark when third of 10 last time out, this Brian Ellison-trained seven-year-old could get back to winning ways here, now below his latest winning mark. This should be his opportunity.
Another trained by Nicky Richards, this five-year-old son of Getaway is well related as a half brother to Break My Soul, who wasn’t beaten too far by the revered Lossiemouth in the Aintree Hurdle. The trainer tends to do well with bumper horses, so this could be his next winner.
