Coral Horse Racing: Ascot Tips - December 19, 2025
This is a really competitive race, but Samuel Spade, trained by the bang in-form Ben Pauling, is now just two pounds above his latest winning mark over two furlongs further at this track. Given three pounds by rider Callum Pritchard, he could win today.
In another hot race, this four-year-old brings some of the top form to the test but, after a good second over course and distance last time out. He is one of the top rated here and gets on with the surface.
Down two pounds in the weights from last time out over what could have been an inadequate trip, this six-year-old should be able to progress over fences now and could take a big step forward.
A progressive six-year-old trained by Joe Tizzard, Non Stop was a good winner over the minimum trip at Wincanton when last seen and should be capable of following up in this company.
Jointly topping the ratings with Steel Ally, this horse is the most comfortable on the good to soft ground and, a course and distance winner on chase debut, his chance is strong again.
Sam Thomas’ form is hard to argue with, including in this class of race, and it’s interesting that he debuts this very well-related half brother to Lump Sum in this hot Ascot bumper, so he must be showing ability at home.
There are several horse racing meets on December 19, and Coral has previewed them all.
