Pontefract

A slight downgrade for the Phil Bull Trophy, which was formerly a Class 2 conditions race and has been changed to a Class 3 handicap this year. However, it has attracted a bigger field than usual and features some interesting rematches. Attractively treated MOON OVER MIAMI seems fairly versatile as regards ground and he is taken to reverse Goodwood placings with Maxident, who nevertheless commands respect, especially if the going is soft/heavy. Second choice is In The Breeze, who comfortably beat Maxident in June and looks a major contender despite being on a career-high mark.[Steve Boow]
