With conditions set to be gruelling, it makes sense to side with those who have shown a penchant for soft ground and Room Service and CENTIGRADE (nap) fit the bill nicely. The former ran a fine race under his big weight at Ascot 11 days ago but he might be better served by the end-to-end gallop that big-field handicaps provide. Centigrade has won both his starts on heavy ground and he displayed a fine attitude at Haydock last month. He can take the step back up into Listed company in his stride. The durable Ebt's Guard, runner-up last year, and Oolong Poobong look best of the rest.[Paul Smith]
