Last month's C&D winner Touquet (second choice) could still have potential over fences and makes obvious appeal, while A Great Excuse beat Touquet on today's terms when winning at Lingfield and remains lightly raced. However, the suggestion is class-dropper KAHAVARI, who has dropped 2lb since his creditable fourth at Haydock just after Christmas. He can sometimes race a bit too freely but it will be interesting to see whether Craig Nichol allows him to bowl along in front over this shorter trip.[Chris Wilson]
