The Egyptian Ginge (over 3m) and Our Guide (near 2m4f) produced big runs last month and are only five-year-olds, so should have more to give. Preference, though, is for the year-older WALDEN who won three of his four starts last season and looked more and more the stayer as that campaign went on. He may well resume with another success, perhaps at the chief expense of The Egyptian Ginge although the 10yo Harbour Lake, who won this race in 2024, is also shortlisted.[Richard Austen]
