12.40 – Hold The Serve

Hold The Serve is a point-to-point winner who has only recently joined the yard, and Olly Murphy likes him a lot. His schooling has been very good, so we are looking forward to getting him started. The only concern will be if it doesn't rain before the meeting. It is currently ‘Good’ at Exeter, and we will need ‘Soft’ in the description for him to enjoy the ground.

3.00 – Gavin

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but Gavin's a bit mad. He's a free front-running sort who does things his own way. I thought it was a good run last time at Ffos Las, where he was third. He’s been dropped a pound by the handicapper for it. This does look a bit more competitive, so he’ll need to step up again on what he's been doing, but I'm sure he'll give it a good shot.

3.35 – Village Master

Village Master is an incredible horse. He has won nine out of his 13 races over fences already, and he is only six years old. He started in handicaps off a mark of 78, and he is now up to an official rating of 127.

It was a good performance last time at Kempton, where he dictated things from the front. If he gets into a good rhythm early once again, he has a great chance of another success.

4.10 – Axel Bleue

Axel Bleue has made a good start over hurdles, finishing runner-up on both occasions. He's also a winner of two bumpers. This is his first run in the handicap, and his mark of 108 looks about right. Hopefully, he can improve again and get his first win over obstacles.
