Jockey and Coral ambassador Sean Bowen previews his seven rides at Aintree on Saturday.

He won last time out at Hexham so he will need to carry a penalty here, which makes life tougher. I expect he will come on for his seasonal reappearance and he will love the ground. The track and trip should both suit him, so I am looking forward to riding him in the opening race on the card.
He had some good form last season without winning, so he is still a novice. His jumping has been very good, and he is another horse who will appreciate the soft ground. If he is ready to go first time out, he should be a big player in this race.
His form over the summer was respectable but he does need to step up on that now on his return to action. He is a straightforward horse to ride, but I am not sure he will like the ground being as soft as it is going to be, as the majority of his best form is on ‘Good’ ground.
This will be this horse’s first run over fences. He has schooled well at home, and he is one we have been looking forward to going chasing with for a while. The ground would be my only concern for him. If he handles conditions, he will have a great chance.
This is set to be this horse’s second run for Mike Smith. He was beaten a long way at Kelso on his opening run for his new trainer. Hopefully, he will step up on that run. The National fences can sometimes bring a spark out of some horses and if that proves to be the case, he is off a nice mark of 131 to take advantage.

There are just three runners in this field so it could get tactical. He has been one of Olly Murphy’s best horses for a number of years now. We are going to have to concede a lot of weight to our two rivals, but he is a course and distance winner, and he has run well in this race before, so he definitely has the class to come out on top.
This is the first day at school for Apples Destiny in this Bumper for three-year-olds. She will be receiving 3lb from the opposition sex in the race. We will be hoping to see a nice performance from her on her opening outing.
