Joe Tizzard Sunday runners schedule
Lisbane Park - Windsor - 12.50 race odds
Eldorado Allen - Windsor - 3.00 race odds
Windsor 12.50 – Lisbane Park
Windsor have put on some great prize money for this card, so it’s great we’ve got a couple of runners here. We bought Lisbane Park following his second in an Irish point-to-point, and he got off the mark at the first time of asking impressively in his novice hurdle at Exeter. He then followed that with a fourth place in what may well turn out to be a decent EBF Qualifier at Cheltenham before Christmas, a race won by Nicky Henderson’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle contender, Old Park Star [runs at Haydock on Saturday].
This is his first time in a handicap, plenty of the big yards are represented here so we’ll find out where we are with him off this opening mark of 121, but he’s a young horse we think a lot of.
Windsor 3.00 – Eldorado Allen
Our other runner is at the opposite end of the age scale. 12-y-o Eldorado Allen is obviously a real yard favourite, and he gave us another great day when winning at Cheltenham in November. He then followed that up with a third place finish back there last month, confirming that for whatever reason, he’s in the form of his life this season almost.
We had a couple of options for him this week, but have come here because the 2m 6f trip will suit, he won’t mind any ease in the ground, and it’s worth plenty of prize money. Protektorat sets a decent standard, while Handstands is the young up and comer, but Allen won’t let us down I know, and could well outrun his odds.
