Joe Tizzard Saturday runners schedule
Triple Trade - Cheltenham - 1.15 race odds
Kripticjim - Cheltenham - 4.10 race odds
1.15 – Triple Trade
Triple Trade has enjoyed himself since stepping up in distance. I’ve been really pleased with what he has been showing at home recently. He’s not the youngest in the field, but this looks like a very suitable race for him.
It’s a strong contest, as you’d expect for the prize money, but I’ll be disappointed if he’s not right in the mix. He’s thriving at the moment, and this feels like a good opportunity for him to show that on the track at a big meeting.
4.10 – Kripticjim
Kripticjim is a horse I’ve always liked, and he just keeps on improving. He’s been in excellent form, with solid performances at Windsor, Ascot and Newbury, and this is very much the next step for him. The race is competitive, but not over the top, with a sensible number of runners, and the conditions should suit him well.
He was a proper progressive horse in bumpers last season and has carried that on over hurdles. Winning at Newbury under a penalty told us plenty about him. That’s never easy to do, and he did it well. I think he stays strongly, and, over time, I can see him stepping up in trip. This run will give us a clearer idea of where we’re heading next, whether that’s a Cheltenham Festival route or something like the EBF Final later on. He’s a lovely young horse and one we’re excited about.
