Joe Tizzard: This horse is in the form of his life
Trainer and Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard discusses the chances of his two runners at Cheltenham on Friday.

I’d say Le Ligerien is in the form of his life, with his last win arguably his best, and this new 2 ½ mile veterans’ series really plays to his strengths. The handicapper has obviously had his say, and he’s up five pounds for the Kempton win, and Cheltenham is obviously a very different track to Kempton, but I couldn’t be happier with how he is at home and hopefully he has a favourite’s chance of following up here.
Gyename ran a massive race behind one of Jonjo O’Neill’s [Springwell Bay] here last time, that was over 2 miles 5 furlongs, and I think this step up to almost three miles will suit him, as he was staying on really well last time. He handles the soft ground, and I’d like to think he can cope with the rise of a couple of pounds and go close here.
