Hugo Palmer Friday runners blog: 'She rattled home to take third last time'

Hugo Palmer has three runners on Friday (October 10), at Newmarket, York and Kempton. The leading trainer previews them all in his latest Coral blog.

Blingy’s Sister is a lovely filly, with plenty of ability, and very much one we like for next year.  She got a bit intimidated in the stalls on her last start, in Ireland, before running well to finish third.  She rattled home that day, and we thought she was the best filly in the race.  She’s trained well since, I think she will like the good ground here, and while gaining some black type would be the aim, we’re looking forward to running her.

Gold Dawn has run consistently well all season without winning, and this is a very valuable series final, so although it’s perhaps not the easiest place to go with him to look for a win, I do think he can run very well and if he does, he could pick up decent prize money.

In all honesty this horse has disappointed me a little bit, I thought he was going to be better than he’s shown so far.  He did need his last run, coming back from a break, and he is down in grade here.  I think he will be fine on the all-weather, and I hope he can take a step forward.
