The decorated darting legend told press recently “It’s been a long road, incredibly tough at times, and of course you wonder if you will ever get back to playing on stage in one of the Majors. I never gave up hope.”

Snakebite has had a sensational few seasons to become ranked fourth in the world by the PDC and, ending as UK Open runner-up plus finishing in the semi-finals of the World Matchplay and European Championship in 2015, shows the Scot has substance as well as style.

With the BDO 2015 World Championship under his belt, Scotty Dog certainly has the pedigree to surprise his PDC peers.

Armageddon always appears fearless despite his young age of 22 and, with his main competition an inconsistent James Wade, the Durham-born darts starlet and 2014 Under 21 World Championship winner has every opportunity to make a name for himself.
