Grand National betting: 2026 Aintree Mares' Bumper contenders and tip
Ahead of the 2026 Grand National, Coral previews all of the races taking place at Aintree, continuing with the Mares' Bumper on Thursday, April 9.

2026 Mares’ Bumper contenders and tip
A maximum-sized field of 20 fillies and mares come together for the mares’ Grade Two bumper at Aintree on Thursday.
Jeremy Scott’s Princess Day is unbeaten so far, having won a point-to-point and two bumpers so far. She has shown to have plenty of pace and has beaten some able horses, so she a top contender once again here.
A new recruit for Dan Skelton, Nan’s Choice has won a bumper in Ireland on heavy ground and is tried on a sounder surface for the first time, which is uncertain as of yet. She was an expensive purchase, but others are more convincing on current form.
Gary and Josh Moore have been having a good season and are bringing home plenty of winners, so their Ti’mamzel makes some appeal. Her Listed bumper win came on soft ground and the form has worked out quite strongly, so she should factor here.
Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard runs Fairy Park, who was second to Princess Day last time. That was her first run in a bumper and she is more than entitled to improve now. She looks overpriced at 12/1.
Alan King’s Martini Majesty is the strongest of those which are least exposed, with just one winning bumper run to her name, but this race looks to be one for the more experienced mares.
One of those is Ladies Day, who looks to be overpriced for a run on this better ground, having been close in three mares’ bumpers just behind some nice prospects.
Coral’s big-race tip: Ti’mamzel at 13/2
