A 1-0 defeat against Finland was understandable given the circumstances but has put the Danes under pressure if they are to get out of the group while Belgium’s status as one of the favourites was backed up by a 3-0 win against Turkey.

Dries Mertens doubled the lead in the second half and Denmark only managed one shot on target but Eriksen’s effort was kept out by Simon Mignolet.
Belgium again took an early lead in the return match in November before Lukaku’s second-half brace helped them to a 4-2 win.
