Coral Horse Racing: Saturday ITV Races - February 14, 2026
1.15 - Ascot
A bit below form on heavy ground last time out at Leicester, the slightly sounder surface at Ascot today should take this six-year-old back to his usual close-finishing form.
TIP: Starzand
1.35 Wincanton (Kingwell Hurdle)
This Joe Tizzard-trained six-year-old is best on soft ground and should be able to outstay the rest on the testing surface.
TIP: Alexei
1.50 - Ascot
With Thomas Mor a better horse on firmer ground, this improving seven-year-old of Ben Pauling’s could tally another course and distance win here today for his trainer.
TIP: The Jukebox Kid
2.05 - Haydock (Rendlesham Hurdle)
At a generous each-way price, this improving six-year-old is proven on soft ground better than some of his opponents and enjoyed the step up in trip last time out. He could place at least.
TIP: Lud’or
2.25 - Ascot
A good run at this track last month for third place promised plenty and, running on the same mark today, this gelding can bring his usual consistency once again for the Twiston-Davies team.
TIP: Moveit Like Minnie e/w
2.40 - Haydock (Prestige Novices’ Hurdle)
The winner of his two starts under Rules so far by a combined 25½ lengths, this Olly Murphy-trained individual looks very competitive and could go better again for a step up to three miles.
TIP: Ubatuba
3.00 - Ascot (Swinley Handicap Chase)
This course and distance winner was a close second last time out at this track and, though stepping up in class here, is improving and entitled to rise to the task for Tom Lacey.
TIP: Montregard
3.15 - Haydock (Grand National Trial)
Trained by Mickey Bowen and ridden by James Bowen, this gelding is very consistent and rarely runs a poor race. He’s proven over the trip and offered plenty of encouragement last time at Windsor, so could be overpriced. He certainly could represent each-way value.
TIP: Holokea e/w
3.35 - Ascot (Ascot Chase)
Latterly the winner of the Clarence House Chase, Jonbon has won over further previously at Aintree, admittedly on better ground, but his way of going now aged 10 suggests this extra distance will be beneficial.
TIP: Jonbon
