Coral Horse Racing: Haydock Tips - December 20, 2025
With proven ability on soft ground and a solid couple of runs in maiden and novice company under his belt already, this Toby Lawes-trained five-year-old looks one for handicaps and could get off the mark today with a three-pound claiming rider.
The sort to go well fresh, this six-year-old is the highest rated in this four-runner race and makes his chase debut for the in-form O’Neill stable, so has a good chance.
Able on soft ground, as per his point-to-point form, this Dan Skelton-trained five-year-old has won over two miles and has a nice opportunity to back that form up here.
Running for Nicky Richards, whose stable is in outstanding form at present, this 10-year-old veteran, a course and distance winner, could win off today’s mark and is best on soft ground.
Runner-up in this race last year off the same mark, Jack Parrot has less weight on his back this year and can handle the conditions better than some of the others, so has a very stong chance.
The winner of her reappearance at Exeter, this mare is even better on softer ground and, already having won a Listed bumper, she could now pick up black type over hurdles.
Having won his last start at Warwick, this five-year-old has only been raised two pounds in the handicap and is given five pounds by his rider to help him make it back-to-back successes here.
There are several horse racing meets on December 20, and Coral has previewed them all.
