Coral's Daily Racing Tips - Wetherby - December 6
The winner of a strong point-to-point, this new starter for Ben Pauling should attract plenty of interest for the stable, who are bringing home plenty of winners at this stage of the season.
After a decent third of eight last time out, 11-year-old veteran Ballywood could now be down to a winnable mark, and is given three pounds by regular rider Tabitha Worsley.
Now sliding down the handicap towards his last winning mark, this could be a good opportunity for Kilbarry Hill, who is proven over the trip, goes on any ground and is given a helpful three pounds by claiming rider Lewis Stones.
Olly Murphy’s consistent five-year-old was disappointing on seasonal return at Newbury but, with newly applied cheekpieces, he could get back to his winning and placing form of last term, and also is given three pounds by Lewis Stones.
Well proven over fences, Gold Emery is down to what should be a winnable mark now and has Charlie Maggs’ five pounds to boot. He is fit from a first run at Uttoxeter and can win this today for Donald McCain.
With a promising pedigree behind him, this inexpensive purchase could do better than his purchase price suggests for trainer James Owen, whose horses continue their good form.
There are several horse racing meets on December 6, and Coral has previewed them all.
