Coral's Daily Racing Tips - Southwell - December 12, 2025
Given seven pounds by his rider, this son of Acclamation proved that he is at a workable mark now when beaten just a head at Newcastle last time and won't be perturbed by the drop down in trip.
David O’Meara’s filly should be able to win at this new low mark and, wearing cheekpieces for the first time today, could run a big race under Jason Watson.
A fairly consistent sort, this Charlie Johnston-trained filly could be on her winning mark now and should be competitive in this reasonably open race.
Any two-year-old coming from this stable at the moment is the one to beat based on the trainer’s incredible strike rate with juveniles on the all-weather and this Blue Point gelding should be no different.
As with the first division of this race, Charlie Appleby’s two-year-olds are difficult to oppose on the all-weather this winter so far.
Drawn nicely in two and at a winnable mark, based on his good second of 12 at Chelmsford last time out, this four-year-old can go well for a jockey and trainer in good form.
Having stayed consistent at this mark for the past three runs, Sax Appeal may have his chance to win again from stall one.
After a narrow defeat on this same mark last time out at Wolverhampton, this three-year-old could put that to rights for the in-form Robert Cowell this time.
Given five pounds by rider Cian Horgan, this Sam England-trained gelding steps back up in trip five pounds below his last mark over this distance and has a very strong chance of winning now.
