A winner on hurdling debut at Chepstow last season but had reasons for disappointing back there in April but is now in the hands of a new trainer in Olly Murphy and is still a very consistent type.
Hit by a 5lb rise in the weights having made a winning debut for the Nick Gifford team over course and distance 18 days ago but can back that up and go in again as he should improve further.
Hard to look past the prowess of trainer Dan Skelton’s runner here on a second racecourse start, fourth on debut last time out at Worcester and looks to be the class of the field for this bumper.
Makes a hurdling debut off the back of winning a Huntingdon contest on the level in May and a sixth prior to that on debut in March at Warwick, but this does look a pretty competitive heat for his hurdles bow for trainer Tom Lacey.
Ben Pauling’s runner has shown progress with two seconds on the spin and then getting over the line first at Wetherby last month, so is taken to go in again to continue his improving form.
Has dropped 1lb in the weights off a fifth of 11 last month at Carlisle but this point-to-point winner hasn’t got many miles on the clock and should strip fitter for that run last time out.
