Plenty of French recruits will line up for the opener and the most interesting among them is Kaloun Des Rocs, second in a Compiegne bumper and now in the hands of Trainers’ Championship leader Dan Skelton.

Very highly thought of by trainer Paul Nicholls off the back of a fine Grade 2 win at Cheltenham three weeks ago, he looks to be the one to beat having looked very impressive that day.
Only a small field in this race so it might be worth chancing the Gary and Josh Moore runner, runner up in the Select Hurdle at this track last season and was a good third behind the impressive Lulamba at Exeter on November 17.
Skelton can make it a double on the day with this seven-year-old, who made a winning start to life over fences when scoring at Aintree last month and even more improvement is expected this time around.
Trainer Olly Murphy is enjoying a good start to the campaign and this four-year-old was a winner at Worcester in September and then a good second at Huntingdon just over three weeks ago.
