The sort to go well on today’s soft ground, the consistent Star Vantage is on a workable mark now and could take a step forward from his last run over this trip at Wetherby in November.
Returning today having had a productive season last term, Fiveafterfour has had wind surgery, is proven on the soft ground and is down to a winnable mark with some help from his claiming rider.
Going best on soft ground, Jehol De Thaix could have a nice opportunity to win here despite being top of the handicap. Trainer Nicky Richards’ horses are going really well and he can continue the form.
