The Twiston-Davies team have been in great form so far this term and Hopeless Dancer could take a step forward from his hurdle debut over a greater distance last month. Down to two miles, he could run a big race.
Down to a tempting mark now after a respectable midfield finish at Aintree last time, this horse has a great winning record at Ludlow and he could have all the conditions he needs to get to the front this time.
A winner of both a novice and a maiden hurdle, Belle Le Grand made a somewhat disappointing return to action at Hexham last month, finishing sixth of 14, but should be able to take a step forward on a mark which ought to prove winnable in this context.
Having come down two pounds in the handicap, Chicago Storm could be positioned to win this race under seven-pound claimer Robbie David. Trainer Daisy Hitchins’ horses have been running well and this one ought to be at the sharp end here.
Having taken good step forward last time out after a disappointing seasonal reappearance, Mad Maxios could be primed and ready to win from this mark now for a yard and rider in excellent form.
As a half sister to Romeo Coolio and Ascending Lark, also trained by Harry Derham, this filly is a most interesting new starter for a stable going strong. With the yard’s strike rate in bumpers being particularly strong, there is little not to like about this filly.
