This is a tight enough contest despite a small field, but Tom Dascombe’s colt goes best over this trip and could be helped by the addition of first-time cheekpieces. Both trainer and rider are in good form and the horse is at a winnable mark.
Although he lost his way towards the end of this term, a two month break could be the answer to regaining his better Novice form and having Ryan Moore in the saddle is a huge asset.
This gelding, newly trained by James Owen, produced a best-yet run for his new yard last time out at Wolverhampton and, staying on the same mark, could find that a win is within reach now.
Another trained by James Owen, this maiden from 22 starts was closer than ever before on his last two starts and, given the proficient Jason Hart in the saddle, today could be his day.
Running for the significant connections of Cheveley Park Stud, this filly did well to finish fifth of 112 on debut at Kempton in October, despite being slowly away, and she should improve smartly for the experience and can win this.
This consistent filly is tried on the all-weather for the first time and could be at the right end of the weights with a nice draw to get the better of topweight Morrophore. She may jump off at a nice each-way price under Jason Watson.
After a very promising performance at Wolverhampton last time, this seven-year-old is usually involved at the finish and he ought to be able to win off his mark and from stall three.
A winner two starts ago, this gelding followed up that win with a decent third of six last time at this track and he can be competitive once again for Tony Carroll and William Carson. Good course and distance form adds to his case.
A consistent performer, Simon Dow’s gelding should be able to win off this new low mark and as a front-running type, he can go very well from the innermost draw under Paddy Bradley.
