With only three opponents to worry about, this Richard Bandey-trained gelding has won on the Flat in France, should handle the ground and can come on from his UK debut earlier this month
This consistent six-year-old won both a maiden and a novice hurdle last term and, if jumping better than when he pulled up on chase debut last time, he could win this for the Twiston-Davies team.
Wearing first-time cheekpieces today, this six-year-old from David Pipe’s yard is a winner on soft ground who should be able to win this off today’s mark after a respectable return to action last time.
Syd Hosie’s five-year-old won so well last time out off the same mark on heavy ground that his chance today looks obvious, especially with seven pounds in hand again from Chad Bament.
Just a pound above her latest winning mark, this mare is effective on soft ground and, with her rider’s five pounds coming in useful, she could be the one to beat here.
