Coral Horse Racing - Doncaster Tips - December 13, 2025
Seeking to maintain his unbeaten record here, having won both a point-to-point and a maiden hurdle at Carlisle, Real Quartz represents Dan Skelton’s bang in-form stable and is difficult to oppose, particularly as he is given three pounds by his rider.
Having fallen when going well and looking competitive last time out at Cheltenham, Anthony Honeyball’s five-year-old can win this if putting his jumping right this time.
Capable on testing ground and sliding in the direction of her last winning mark, Henry Daly’s mare can progress from a good run last time at Uttoxeter and should be able to win this.
A maiden hurdle winner, Not A Light hasn’t fared so well in handicaps as of yet but, having come down the weights by three pounds, could do better here today and wears a first-time hood.
Our topweight, but given seven pounds by his claiming rider, Joyeux Machin is a serious horse on his day and, after a couple of races to warm up, he could win off this mark now for Dan Skelton.
Though not the only one with a chance in this race, Kateira is the top rated by some way, has good course form and is versatile as regards ground. Already a winner at this level, she is probably the one they all have to beat.
Harry Derham’s horses are going typically well and this horse might be able to get his head in front under a seven-pound claimer.
There are several horse racing meets on December 13, and Coral has previewed them all.
