Conte now odds-on to leave Chelsea before the end of the season

The latest Coral odds suggest it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea boss Antonio Conte leaves the club.

Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at home with Barcelona in last night’s Champions League clash means they face an uphill battle to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Conte is now 1/2 to leave before the club’s final game of the league campaign. It’s 6/4 that he’s still on the touchline for the West London side.

He’s also second-favourite to be the next Premier League manager to depart at 11/4, only behind Alan Pardew (5/4).

Chelsea are 19 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League, which means the FA Cup could be their only chance of silverware this term.

“The betting still firmly suggests Antonio Conte won’t be at Chelsea at the end of the season despite a recent improvement in his side’s results,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Alan Pardew remains the most likely next managerial casualty in the Premier League, however, Conte continues to be popular with punters in this market as they believe it is only a matter of time before the Italian departs the club,” added Hill.
