Coral presents its live Cheltenham Festival 2024 results coverage, with live updates from day three’s races on St Patrick’s Thursday.

Turners Novices’ Chase – 1:30pm

The first race of day three was the Turners Novices’ Chase, which was won by Grey Dawning (5/2), the horse trained by Dan Skelton, with his son Harry as the jockey.

Ginny’s Destiny (11/2) came in second place for the first race of the day, whilst Djelo (25/1) finished things off in third.

Pertemps Network Final – 2:10pm

The Pertemps Network Final was the second race of the day, taking place at 2:10pm. Monmiral emerged as the surprise winner at 25/1, with Paul Nicholls as the trainer and Harry Cobden as the jockey.

Kyntara (16/1) didn’t finish too far behind, coming in second. The favourite going into the race, Cuthbert Dibble, finished in third.

Ryanair Steeple Chase – 2:50pm

The Ryanair Steeple Chase was up next, with Protekorat (17/2), another victory for Harry and Dan Skelton. Envoi Allen (9/4), the favourite for the race, came in second-place, while Conflated (11/1) took third spot.

Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle – 3:30pm

Teahupoo went into the Stayers’ Hurdle as the heavy favourite at 5/4, and the horse trained by Gordon Elliot and ridden by Jack Kennedy walked out with the win.

Flooring Porter (9/1) finished in second, whilst Home By The Lee (16/1) took third spot in Thursday’s main event.

TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase – 4:10pm

Shakem Up’Arry (8/1), the horse trained by Ben Pauling with Ben Jones as its jockey, ended up winning the 4pm race. Crebilly (7/2) finished not far behind in second, whilst Straw Fan Jack (28/1) took the final podium spot and finished in third.

Ryanair Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 4:50pm

Golden Ace (10/1) walked out with the win in this one, with jockey Lorcan Williams and trainer Jeremy Scott seeing out the rest of the competition. Brighterdaysahead was the heavy favourite at 5/6, but he could only finish in second place, just ahead of Birdie Or Bust (10/1).

Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Handicap Steeple Chase – 5:30pm

The final race of the day was won by Inothewayurthink (13/8), thanks to trainer Gavin Cromwell and jockey Derek O’Connor. Git Maker (28/1) provided somewhat of a shock by finishing in second place, whilst Whacker Clan (17/2) took the final podium spot.

ITV will broadcast the first five races of each day at Cheltenham Festival this year, with coverage kicking off at 1pm and finishing at 4:30pm. The final two races of each can then be watched on Racing TV.
