Cheltenham betting: 2026 Stayers' Hurdle contenders and tip
Mid-way through day three of Cheltenham betting is the Stayers' Hurdle, which Coral has provided its tip for.

Coral's Stayers' Hurdle Cheltenham 2026 tip
The 2026 Stayers’ Hurdle looks a classic renewal of the two and three quarter mile Grade 1 and in a race where previous winners have strong records, it could pay to follow another one this year.
Bob Olinger was a fine winner of the 2025 Stayers’ and is back for another crack for trainer Henry De Bromhead, while last year’s runner up and 2024 winner of this race Teahupoo is also back once again in an ultra-competitive race that is pretty tough to unpick.
Honesty Policy is a young pretender for the Gordon Elliott team and completed a hat-trick of wins when landing the Mersey Hurdle at Aintree last year and arrives here off the back of a third in the Long Walk at Ascot.
That contest was won by Impose Toi who also lines up at Cheltenham for Nicky Henderson but was a distant seven lengths behind the re-opposing Ma Shantou in the Cleeve Hurdle, though the drying ground in Cheltenham could favour Henderson’s runner.
Kabral Du Mathan for Dan Skelton should be there or thereabouts too, easily winning on stable debut at Haydock and then followed up in the Relkeel at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day.
Coral’s big-race tip: Honesty Policy @ 8/1
