Coral's Kim Muri Cheltenham 2026 tip

The final race on day three of the Cheltenham Festival is the Kim Muri, another big-field handicap with 26 runners set to take on the three mile and two furlong distance.

This contest could turn into a shootout between Jeriko Du Reponet and Prendes Garde A Toi for trainers Nicky Henderson and Gordon Elliott respectively, with the duo expected to be the two market leaders as well before the off.

Jeriko Du Reponet was second in the Pertemps at last year’s Festival and went one better at the Punchestown Festival when landing a Listed hurdle contest. Now sent over fences, he was second in a match-race at Wincanton and showed ability when fifth at Windsor.

Prendes Garde A Toi is very highly-thought of, fourth in the Grand National Trial at Punchestown and has plenty of appeal here, a winner of a Naas maiden too in December and this distance should suit the seven-year-old perfectly.

Waterford Whispers for the Henry De Bromhead team will have a big say however, a dual hurdle winner and was second in the Martin Pipe in 2024, plus a decent third in a Leopardstown handicap last month and steps up in trip here.

Joseph O’Brien has a strong hand too with Kim Roque, a French recruit that has been consistent in all three starts for his new handler including a fourth in the December gold Cup at this track as was not disgraced when fifth in a Leopardstown handicap when last seen.

Coral’s big-race tip: Prendes Garde A Toi e/w @ 11/1
