Championship 2025/26 title odds: Coventry now odds-on to lift the trophy

With the 2025/26 Championship season taking shape, Coral shares its outright winner odds, with Coventry City the favourites to win the title after an excellent campaign so far.

Coral have priced Frank Lampard's league leaders as runaway favourites, with the bookies backing the Midlands side to lift the trophy and return to the Premier League for the first time since 2001.

Coventry are the league's top scorers by a mile, have one of the division's strongest defences, and have only lost four Championship matches since last season's play-off semi-final defeat to Sunderland - who are now flying high in the Premier League.

Ipswich, Middlesbrough and Watford follow Coventry in the Championship title odds, with Birmingham and Millwall also firmly in the conversation. With Ipswich and Southampton, the teams relegated from last season's Premier League are right in the chasing pack, with Leicester also still hopeful of promotion back to the top tier despite an underwhelming campaign so far.

Strong starts to the season have seen the likes of Bristol City and Hull climb up the table, while Sheffield United - who lost last season's play-off final - have climbed back into contention for the Championship title after a disastrous start to the campaign.

Two teams that earned promotion from League One and have star power in the boardroom are still looking to really burst into life this season.

Birmingham City were among the favourites to win the 2025/26 Championship before a ball was kicked, but a difficult start has seen them struggle to maintain momentum.

After winning League One with a record points tally, the Blues looked well equipped to take the second tier by storm - but they're yet to really find their form and make a challenge for the top two.

Wrexham are hoping to make history by achieving four consecutive promotions, but they too have struggled to keep touch with the Championship's established teams thus far. The Welsh side are seen as outsiders, but it would be a fairytale befitting of Hollywood.
