Champions 8-15 to begin defence with win

Defending champions Manchester City are 8-15 with Coral to kick of the 2014/15 Premier League season with three points from their opener at St James’s Park against Newcastle.

Last season’s runners-up Liverpool are warm favourites at 3-10 to beat Southampton at Anfield, while league favourites Chelsea have been installed at 2-7 to defeat newcomers Burnley.

“The top four from last season all seem to have been handed moderate openers and are all short-priced favourites. No doubt punters will be happy to stick them into an accumulator for the opening weekend,” said Coral’s John Hill.
