Group A of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place from 20 to 29 November 2022. The group consists of the host nation Qatar, as well as Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands. The top two teams will advance to the round of 16.
Qatar, the host nation, will look to make a good showing in front of its home fans. Ecuador will be hoping to use the World Cup as a springboard to better things, while Senegal will be looking to build on its strong showing at the 2018 World Cup. The Netherlands, one of the traditional powerhouses of international football, will be looking to re-establish itself as a force to be reckoned with.
