Bangladesh v England 2nd ODI tips: Stokes and Ball can perform in Mirpur

Who’d bet against Stokes being best batsman again, with James Vince struggling and Ben Duckett getting his feet under the table at this level?

Ball is available at a sweet 7/2 price to be best visiting bowler again. Should a two-day turnaround come too quickly for him, then side instead with spinner Rashid in this market at 11/4.

Imrul Kayes to be best Bangladesh batsman

Opening for the hosts is part-time wicketkeeper and left-hander Kayes, and he top scored in Dhaka with 112.

Hitting 13 boundaries (11 fours and two sixes) put him ahead of even Stokes’ sublime century.

A repeat performance could well be on the cards, especially as the rest of the Bangladesh top order disappointed.

Kayes rates a 7/2 chance to be best at the crease for the home team once again.

Mashrafe Mortaza to be best Bangladesh bowler

We put forward more pace bowling to pay off in Mirpur, as 33-year-old Mortaza beat all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to be best with the ball in Dhaka on economy.

Taking six wickets in his last four ODIs, Mortaza is definitely in-form. Siding with him to do most damage to England again gives a fine 4/1 price.

Al Hasan alternatively proved to be the only other Bangladeshi bowler to give away an average of less than six runs per over and get wickets. He is thus a 3/1 consideration in this market.

Bangladesh to score the most fours

Although they lost to England in Dhaka, the hosts (28) managed to hit three more fours than the tourists (25).

It is therefore worth backing Bangladesh to do so once more at 23/20. All-rounder Al Hasan and the confident Kayes contributed 21 of those, so they should be looking for big scores and boundaries again.
