Wimbledon Hawkeye is a good starting point and he'll likely go well if the form of his Irish Champion Stakes run is reproduced. He did have a hard race that day, though, and preference is for PHINEAS, who has been brought along steadily and looks ready for a step up in grade judged on the form of his C&D win last month. He'll have to step up again but that's likely and he appeals more than Distant Storm, who returned to winning ways last time but has stamina to prove. Zaydann came unstuck in Group 1 company at York but this is an easier assignment, and one who could outrun his odds is last year's winner First Look. [Richard Young]
