Shadow Dance and Subsequent were eleventh and ninth in the Ebor at York last time but shaped a lot more encouragingly in that red-hot race than those form figures might suggest, and Shadow Dance also went close in this race last year. Good Show remains one to keep an eye on, making his second start since a long absence. The top two options, however, may be SYNERGISM and Beylerbeyi. The latter, who had his winning spree at 1m4f interrupted last time, is very tempting over this new trip but preference is for Sir Mark Prescott's highly progressive 3yo.[Richard Austen]
