Not many of these are improving and Washington Heir (second choice), who is up in grade but on an upward curve, is an exception. He could prove the pick of Tony Carroll's five runners, while Prefer The Sister, Twirler and Secret Handsheikh also have something to recommend them. GIANT has the widest stall to overcome, and is still seeking a first turf success, but he is well treated on this season's best efforts and he is tackling weaker opposition this afternoon.
