Mares appear to have the upper hand here in what looks a particularly interesting duel between brilliant Gr.1 Prix de Normandie winner KATINKA AIMEF (4), who will be barefoot following her Laval harness conditioner, and runner-up KEENGAME (5) who most recently secured the Gr.2 Prix Xavier de Saint Palais. Normandie 3rd, KID BELLAY (3), has a pair of runs in him since the break, will be shod to preference, and Eric Raffin can justifiably expect to finish close. KYT KAT (8) put on quite the show to win the Gr.2 Prix Edmond Henry in early-October and deserves to be taken seriously.
