POKURU GOLD (3) Made up ground when 4th last time around here and competing at a lower grade. Will be pushing for a forward position early. Prefers the sting out of the ground. Looks to be value. VEGAS QUEEN (1) Ran on strongly to win last run at Te Rapa and facing a weaker grade. Masahiro Hashizume and Kenny Rae deserve serious attention as a team. Goes very close. DECEMBER (2) Ran 6th last start at this venue but matched against lesser competition. Might take a while to wind up but should be hitting top gear in the straight. Respect in this event. YALDI (5) Missed by a narrow margin last run at Te Rapa and has been racing in stronger company. This field suits.
