Having been a convincing winner of the last two editions of this race, SANS BRUIT (nap) can complete a notable hat-trick off a mark just 3lb higher than 12 months ago. His last five wins have come in the month of April so there can be considerable optimism that he will once more leave his winter form well behind. This track could be an ideal fit for Jasko Des Dames, who weakened into fifth up the Cheltenham hill in the Grand Annual, and he is second choice ahead of stablemate Inthepocket, who was making headway in the Grand Annual when falling two out. The 5yo Stencil remains of interest now he's back down in trip, while Brookie could be an each-way player back at Aintree.[Ben Hutton]
